DIRECTIONS TO HAPPINESS

 

Travel lightly as you begin your journey towards HAPPINESS. Leave your thoughts and habits at the nearest rest stop. They might get you lost. To have energy for the trip, fuel your mind for change. If happiness is your destination then these directions are important to observe. Please understand that you will be traveling in moments not miles. Drive yourself gently, it is very easy to get there.

1. Start off your journey by traveling SLOW and EASY. You will get there faster than you think. You will not get lost, and it’s fun.

2. Take the wheel; adjust your views. They will be your mirror, and soon you will CONTROL your own course. Stay AWAKE, keep your eyes open, and BE RESPONSIBLE for staying on the road. It takes practice to become a good driver.

3. If the road has been getting dark, turn your lights on. The road will become brighter and you can LIGHTEN up.

4. Watch out! There is a misguided driver ahead. You know what to do, YIELD! You are not on the road to being RIGHT; you are on the road to HAPPINESS. The BEING RIGHT road can’t get you there. You don’t need directions to the being right road; you’ve traveled that road before, and it gets you nowhere.

5. Don’t DRIVE YOURSELF in circles any more. Drive yourself to happiness.

6. If you can see a STOP sign ahead, it is important to brake to avoid bumping into somebody. Heed the sign, and let others go their own way. The STOP sign is intended FOR-GIVING OTHERS so we don’t hurt OURSELVES.

7. Can you see happiness from where you are right NOW?

8. You need to be in the right STATE to see happiness. What STATE are you in?

9. Before negative thoughts and feeling cross your road, make a YOU turn and go back the way YOU came.

10. The next direction is very important. You are almost there.

11. You have to make one more turn. You must make a RIGHT turn.

12. Happiness is located RIGHT WITHIN YOU.

13. Do one GOOD turn to KEEP the happiness you have. That’s because one good turn deserves another. Turn on the HAPPINESS DECISION.

14. Welcome to the STATE OF HAPPINESS.

15. Now that you know where happiness is, you can travel there any time you want.

16. You can DECIDE to stay in the STATE OF BEING HAPPY forever.

17. At least you know that happiness is located where you are right now. Guess what? You know a lot more than most people!
