I am passing this on to you - - It is definitely working for me.
I think I have found inner peace.
I read an article that said the way to achieve inner peace
is to finish things I had started.
Today I finished two bags of potato chips, a chocolate pie,
a bottle of wine and a small box of chocolate candy.
I feel better already.
Pass this along to those who need Inner Peace....

Thanks Joanne, I always said we can all have our cake and eat it too,

Pam Golden has a wonderful web site. She understands happiness and shows you how to use it. I just got her book "Choose the Happiness Habit." It looks fantastic, and as soon as I read it I will let you know what I think about it. The reason I like it already is the wonderful quotes she has and her book sources are really current and top notch. I know she understands happiness and I acknowledge her for it. I can't wait to read her book.

Happ-E-Quote:) "If you want to increase you happiness, if you want to enjoy life more you have to work at it, you need to take control of your thinking, your attention and what you do. Only you can do that. You can choose to think and act in ways that have been proven to bring happiness." - Pam Golden

Happ-E-Mail:) Dear Friends at The Happiness Club,
I would very much like to recommend a beautiful book which I am reading right now. It is called ’Balloon to the Moon’ and was written by Regina L Sinozich, MSW. The book is subtitled ‘A Guide to Vibrant Living,’ and deals with ‘Becoming the Brilliant Being You're Meant to Be’; it is further described as being an ‘Inspirational Workout That Will Change Your Life.’ Richard Carlson, author of ‘Don't Sweat the Small Stuff’, is quoted on the cover: "This book will take you to new heights". I am responding at many levels to this deeply profound, helpful and jewel-packed book by a warm and inspiring writer. The first chapter of the book can be read online at
www.balloontothemoon.com . It is also possible to sign up for a free e-mail newsletter at this website. This testimonial is entirely unsolicited and comes from my wish to share something good with others who also are trying to focus on the source of happiness, and to become and to remain fully alive.
- Rosemary Stevenson, New Zealand.

Happ-E-Quote:) The Optimist Creed, by Christian D. Larsen

Be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
Talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
Make all your friends feel there is something in them.
Look at the sunny side of everything.
Be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements
of the future.
Give everyone a smile.
Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others.
Be too big for worry and too noble for anger.

Good Web site:) Mark Plumridge & Morgen Brown are the Directors of the Health & Happiness For You
www.healthhappiness.com.au They have some wonderful information on happiness for you.

Happ-E-Mail:) Thanks to Dolly Curtis for sending us: "The positive side of life"
Living on Earth is expensive, but it does include a free trip around the sun every year.

How long a minute is depends on what side of the bathroom door you're on.

Birthdays are good for you; the more you have, the longer you live.

Happiness comes through doors you didn't even know you left open.

Ever notice that the people who are late are often much jollier
than the people who have to wait for them?

Most of us go to our grave with our music still inside of us.

You may be only one person in the world,
but you may also be the world to one person.

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened.

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but
they all exist very nicely in the same box.

A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Have an awesome day, and know that someone who thinks you're great
has thought about you today!..
"And that person was me.".....

or you alter yourself to meet them." - Phyllis Bottome

You were one of my top interviews out of 400 shows that I have done. Thank you again and I'll send you a copy of your show in June. You may use it on your local cable system. - Brian Jud

Happ-E-Quote:) It's good to be just plain happy; it's a little better to know
that you're happy; but to understand that you're happy
and to know why and how and still be happy,
be happy in the being and the knowing,
well that is beyond happiness,
that is bliss. - Henry Miller

BE HAPPY ZONE

KNOW YOURSELF
By Lionel Ketchian

Every thought we have and every single action we make is for the sake of one thing, our desire to be happy. Now, that may seem unbelievable to you, but the fact is that it is absolutely true. Everything I do is to make me happy. The real truth is that everything I do for you I do for me. The fact is everything I do is to bring myself happiness, even if I really want it for you. You do the same thing I do. We all do it.

Why do you want money? So you can buy the things you want, and then you can feel comfortable, and then be happy! Why do you want an education? So you can get a good job, make money, feel comfortable, and then be happy! Why do you want to have someone to love in your life? The bottom line is; so you can be happy! You want to be a good parent or a good spouse so that you can be happy!

We all know how important staying alive is for everyone. We are told that survival is the ultimate goal. Then why do people commit suicide? The reasons may include eliminating pain, ending fear, or stopping depression. Ending their suffering is more important than living their life, to the person committing suicide. To the person who is not happy, happiness is more important than being alive.

You may not agree with me on this one, right? Well, I checked with a friend of mine. I consulted Socrates, and this is what he once said: "That man pursues a great variety of goals, but the one he seeks as his ultimate end is happiness. Everything else is a means not an end."

Did you hear what Socrates just said! Everything else is a means not an end.
It looks like we are all taking the roundabout route. Socrates thought that life's highest good was happiness. He also said: "For, in a word, everything that we choose we choose for the sake of something else -- except happiness, which is an end." I know that we are looking back 2,500 years, but the words of Socrates are just as true today. That is because those words came from the same person that told us to "know thyself." Time makes truth more understandable, not truer.

Get to know yourself a little better. Ask yourself this question: Do I want to be happy? Now is always a good time to start using happiness. Things will never bring us happiness. We need to start finding happiness within ourselves. Happiness is not something that can be found outside of us. When do we stop chasing happiness and start living with it?

People who understand happiness and use it in their life can handle their circumstances no matter what happens to them. They enjoy their life because they are in control of themselves and do not let circumstances have control over them. People, material things, or problems do not control them.

People in the Happiness Club are learning, and expressing the characteristics of happy people. These attributes include boldness, brightness, cheerfulness, common sense, confidence, control, enthusiasm, forgiveness, friendliness, gratitude, joyousness, kindness, mental fitness, passion, patience, peacefulness, positiveness, power, productiveness, self-confidence, and wisdom. All these qualifications enable them to deal with adversity, and even enjoy it by living on the bright side.

Socrates also talks about happiness and being good. He said: "Not only is knowledge virtue, but virtue itself is identical with happiness, for a man who is doing what is right is doing that which is for his own good, resulting in happiness." I feel that learning to be a happy person will do a world of good for you. I know that it will also do the world a great deal of good.

Live the rest of your life with happiness, join the others who have already signed up for my next course "Be Happy, No Matter What." It will be held at the Fairfield Campus of Sacred Heart University, four consecutive Tuesdays starting April 9, through April 30, from 7:00-9:00 PM. Call Gloria from SHU at (203) 365-7587 to register. This class is only given twice a year.

Join us for our next Happiness Club meeting Thursday, April 11, from 7:00-8:45 p.m. The topic is "Showering Happiness on You," and will be held at the Atria Assisted Living Center, located at 6922 Main Street, Stratford, CT. You may wonder why I let Socrates talk so much. He is a lot older than we are so I thought we should respect our elders. He also has so much to say!
If happiness is so important, it may be more than what we all want. It may be what we all need. Being happy is being alive.
