Julian suggested I be in touch with you. I am also part of the Happiness webring. It is my understanding that you interview people? I have quite a story to tell as a psychologist that had an "aha" moment and realized that we don't encourage our clients or ourselves to thrive, in the sense that we are so busy looking for and at problems, rather than the great resources we all have within ourselves-like to have a good time, to laugh, to recover, etc. My work and mission for the last 12 years has been teaching the public and particularly women how to look at the glass as half full, rather than half empty. Of course, a positive attitude is one major step toward happiness!
As a positive psychologist I focus on teaching how to recognize and honor our own talents, capacities, strengths and untapped potential. I use inspirational stories to teach how to access our memory bank and find the gemstones of the stories of our lives. In terms of happiness I teach how the Seven Gateways to Enchantment-understanding and using them-will help tremendously in living a daily life that is filled with happiness, meaning and purpose.

Grow From Your Mistakes
"Your feelings of self-worth need not depend on any external situation. Every human being has intrinsic value regardless of what he does. If you make mistakes and transgress, do not feel discouraged and lose your feelings of importance. There is no greater danger than that. Rather, when you have transgressed, strengthen yourself to elevate above those transgressions. Keep your mind focused on your great potential for accomplishment. Regardless of how much wrong you have done in the past, you can always improve."

"Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
Happiness is one of the most important things in your life. Happiness is an inner state of well being. A state of well being that enables you to profit from your highest: thoughts, wisdom, intelligence, common sense, emotions, health, and spiritual values in your life. Happiness does wonders for your soul. Practice "Premeditated Happiness." Happiness is an issue of power. We give our power to others for many reasons, and we think that they will make us happy. The truth is that we have given others power over ourselves. We can take our power back in order to be happy again. Now is the time to learn to use happiness in dealing with challenges and difficult people in your life so you can develop the strength to prevail. Reading this newsletter will not just make your life better; it will make the world a better place...because you have decided to be happy!
